"About a year ago I purchased a reel to reel tape recorder and began experimenting with tape loops. Shortly after, I bought a box of used tapes online. I had no information about their origin, but they were all dated from 1960-1965, and featured the same cursive handwriting on the labels. These were recordings of the radio, of the TV, and of the original recordist's favorite records. However, there were also a few personal recordings–tapes of piano recitals, of sounds around the house, and of the man testing his broken tape machine.

Edmond is a made up name. I have been unable to find any other information about these tapes. This project is an attempt to use these recordings as source material in order to create an imagined sonic narrative, an attempt to fill in the gaps a bit." - Yonsei
